TOTTEI PARK
「TOTTEI PARK」 について
The nickname for the Shinko No. 2 jetty, including the GLION ARENA KOBE, is TOTTEI. Rooted in the jetty’s 100-year legacy of supporting Kobe’s growth, the name reflects a vision to reimagine its history of cultural exchange through modern entertainment. Blending ‘tradition and innovation,’ TOTTEI symbolizes the past and future of the Port of Kobe.
The goal is to establish a cutting-edge entertainment hub in Kobe, offering visitors unforgettable experiences.

Green Hill
The park will feature a ‘Green Hill’ offering stunning views of the Kobe Sea and Mount Rokko, allowing visitors to enjoy both landscapes simultaneously. Beneath the hill, plans include a brewery, BBQ facilities, and dining areas, with the structure also doubling as spectator seating for outdoor events.
Revitalisation of Kobe
The TOTTEI project seeks to revitalize the local community by integrating the arena and its surroundings into a vibrant, year-round destination. Through regional collaboration and regular events, it aims to create a lively atmosphere, whether or not an event is taking place.
Events and Dining
Flexible areas within the building will incorporate greenery and wooden elements, allowing for versatile uses in coordination with events. Additionally, as part of its commercial offerings, the facility plans to provide a one-of-a-kind dining experience, including a restaurant that explores new styles of BBQ and a community-driven brewery.
An Iconic Park-Integrated Design
This new park architecture, designed by Tomohiro Hata, a talented young architect based in Kobe known for creating numerous captivating designs, reimagines the area as a single expansive picnic sheet. By “lifting” a portion of this sheet, the design creates open plazas with stunning views of Kobe’s unique sea and mountains. The structure serves as seating for outdoor events and incorporates commercial spaces within, making it a one-of-a-kind iconic building.

Concept
With the four key concepts of “Open (spaciousness),” “View (scenic views),” “Green (greenery),” and “Symbolic (iconic design)” in mind, the area is being designed as a landmark space where Kobe’s unique proximity to the sea and mountains can be felt. In addition to the arena itself, outdoor events are also planned, aiming to create a vibrant new park area that brings daily activity and liveliness 365 days a year.
